Join the Fort Tryon Park Trust and experts from the Alley Pond Environmental Center for this FREE nature program! How do mammals feed their young? Can touching toads give you warts? How have animals adapted to living in their environments? This interactive lesson offers observation and handling of live animals to help participants understand animal classifications (mammal, bird, reptile). The program focuses on habitat, diet, texture & movement while also addressing predator/prey relationships & animal adaptations. This program is very effective for students with special needs.
Ages 4 and up. Maximum 30 participants. Please note: Space is limited and RSVP is required on Eventbrite .
Bug spray, sunscreen, and close-toed shoes are recommended.
