Park drive closes at Midnight.
The northern playground includes fitness equipment, a large water feature, restrooms, and a children’s play area.
Public restrooms may be found nearby at Inwood Hill Park’s Payson Playground at the corner of Dyckman Street and Payson Avenue.
May 2021: After going through NYC Parks internal reviews, community input sessions, and the Community Board, the Public Design Commission gave final sign-off on the Anne Loftus Playground project. Construction will begin on August 23, 2021.
The playground redesign project received its full $4.2M funding from City Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez and is an example of the importance of City Council discretionary funding of public projects, especially in the parks, which rely on elected officials for their capital budget.
