The Fort Tryon Park Trust raises a glass in gratitude to all who came out to the Heather Garden and Stan Michels Promenade on 9/19/2021 to our Toast to Fort Tryon Park fundraiser! We are growing the giving to help Fort Tryon Park thrive as an open space resource! We were delighted that many of the park’s neighbors came out for great music and food, dancing, and a gorgeous sunset to help sustain our beloved 67-acre National Landmark. We are grateful to Tryon Public House and Dutch Baby Bakery for the abundance of delicious food!
We were so glad to present this event in 2021, after having missed a year due to Covid. We honored Mark Levine – park neighbor, Chair of the New York City Council’s Health Committee, former Chair of the Parks Committee, and incoming Manhattan Borough President – and Gale Brewer, the outgoing Manhattan Borough President.
This proceeds of this annual outdoor soiree help underwrite horticulture staff, provide free environmental, cultural, and fitness programs, and support targeted capital improvements in the park.
