Commemoration of the 243rd Anniversary of the Battle of Fort Washington

Be transported back in time and celebrate your local history! This event is free and open to the public.

This year marks the 243rd anniversary of the Battle of Fort Washington, a key event during the Revolutionary War.

The Brigade of the American Revolution will perform and lead drills. Come to watch a blacksmith demonstration, listen to 18th-century music, make arts and crafts, play games from the revolutionary period, and meet George Washington. Tour the battle scene with a tour guide dressed as heroine Margaret Corbin. Refreshments are courtesy of the New Leaf Restaurant.

Prizes will be offered for the most authentic costumes!
